YouTube Compliance

MyBoxVideo is built to comply fully with YouTube's Terms of Service, embed policies, and API guidelines. This page explains our compliance position in plain terms.

1

We use YouTube's official Embeddable Player

MyBoxVideo embeds YouTube videos exclusively through YouTube's official iframe embed mechanism — the same method YouTube provides to any website owner. We never extract, re-host, download, cache, or transcode YouTube video content. The video stream travels directly from YouTube's servers to the viewer's browser.

"You may also show YouTube videos through the embeddable YouTube player." — YouTube Terms of Service
2

The YouTube player is never modified

MyBoxVideo does not alter, intercept, or modify YouTube's player in any way. The YouTube iframe loads exactly as it would on any standard embed — its source, its content, its controls, and its internal execution environment are completely untouched.

The branded visual experience MyBoxVideo creates — backgrounds, animations, CTA buttons, logo overlays — exists entirely as separate page content surrounding the YouTube player, built and served independently by MyBoxVideo. The YouTube player occupies a defined area within this independently created environment. It is never itself altered.

Think of it as placing a television set inside a professionally designed room. The television — YouTube's player — is unchanged. The room around it — MyBoxVideo's branded canvas — is original, independent work.

3

All surrounding content is original and independently created

Every element visible around the YouTube player on a MyBoxVideo page is original content — created by our users and served by MyBoxVideo's own infrastructure. Background images are user-uploaded or sourced from licensed third-party providers. Animations, CTA buttons, and branding overlays are generated and served entirely by MyBoxVideo.

None of this surrounding content originates from YouTube. MyBoxVideo player pages satisfy YouTube's requirement that other material not obtained from YouTube appears alongside embedded content.

4

Only public YouTube videos can be embedded

MyBoxVideo only supports embedding YouTube videos that are publicly available. Private, unlisted, or age-restricted videos cannot be embedded — YouTube's own iframe mechanism prevents their loading in third-party contexts, and our system does not attempt to circumvent this.

"Public videos: Owners who published videos as 'public' have implicitly allowed playback via YouTube's embed mechanisms." — YouTube embedding policy
5

Ad behavior is governed by YouTube — not by us

MyBoxVideo does not use any ad-blocking technology and does not intercept or suppress YouTube's ad delivery systems. Ad behavior within the embedded player is determined entirely by YouTube based on their own policies, the video owner's monetization settings, and the embed parameters YouTube officially supports.

MyBoxVideo uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain (youtube-nocookie.com), which is an officially supported YouTube embed option. Under this mode, YouTube itself applies its own reduced-tracking and reduced-advertising policy — this is YouTube's decision, not an action taken by MyBoxVideo.

Additionally, some videos on YouTube are not monetized by their creators, or are set to limit ads on embedded playback. In these cases YouTube serves no ads — again, this is entirely within YouTube's own system and the video owner's choices.

MyBoxVideo's CTA button is an independent page element entirely separate from the YouTube player. It does not replace, simulate, or interact with YouTube's advertising infrastructure in any way.

6

YouTube branding and attribution are preserved

YouTube's branding remains visible inside the player at all times. Clicking the YouTube logo within the player navigates the viewer to YouTube.com. Video title and creator attribution are displayed inside the player as normal. MyBoxVideo does not suppress, hide, or replace any YouTube branding or attribution.

7

User responsibility

MyBoxVideo provides the platform infrastructure for creating branded video experiences. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the right to embed the YouTube videos they use in their projects, and for complying with the content rights of any third-party videos they embed.

MyBoxVideo does not host, store, or transmit any YouTube video content. We store only the YouTube video ID and embed URL string provided by the user. Video content never passes through MyBoxVideo's servers.

8

Background images and user-uploaded content

MyBoxVideo allows users to upload or select background images and other visual assets to create their branded player experience. The choice of imagery is entirely the user's own decision. MyBoxVideo does not dictate, curate, or approve the specific images users choose to display in their projects.

We strongly encourage users to use:

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any image, graphic, logo, or other visual asset they upload or use within MyBoxVideo does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right. MyBoxVideo is a content platform — we serve the content users create; we are not the author or publisher of that content.

Prohibited content. Users may not use MyBoxVideo to create, publish, or distribute player pages containing images or content that is obscene, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise in violation of applicable law or community standards. Any account found to be publishing such content will be subject to immediate suspension or permanent deletion without refund, at MyBoxVideo's sole discretion.

No liability for user content. MyBoxVideo is not responsible for the images, videos, links, offers, claims, or any other content that users publish through their projects. Users indemnify and hold MyBoxVideo harmless from any claim, liability, or expense arising from their use of the platform, including any copyright infringement claim arising from images or other assets they upload or display. MyBoxVideo reserves the right to remove any content, suspend any account, or terminate any subscription at any time where content violates these standards, without notice and without refund.

DMCA compliance. MyBoxVideo complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on a MyBoxVideo player page without authorization, please contact us at [email protected] with the relevant details and we will investigate promptly.
